The day
An outdoor ceremony on a lawn ringed with old trees, under an arch packed with white wisteria. Roberto stood in a tan suit while his groomsmen wore grey. Valeria came down the aisle in an off shoulder gown with lace sleeves and a train that spread several feet behind her. Portraits happened after, under a stucco arcade with round columns. Then everything moved indoors for chandeliers, a first dance, and the groom up on a chair over the crowd.
How it was shot
A green lawn under trees is a hard place to hold skin tone. The canopy throws dappled light, the grass kicks green up into everyone's face, and a white floral arch behind a white dress will clip before you notice it happening. We metered for the dress and pulled the green back by hand in the grade. Inside, the room was lit mint by the uplights, so the reception got balanced on its own curve instead of being forced to match the garden.
