The day

White tent, wooden arch wrapped in greenery, and a live band set up a few feet off the aisle. Her dress had a high lace neck and she wore the veil over her head like a hood, carrying calla lilies. The man walking her in was fighting it by the halfway point. She read her vows off a folded page into a handheld microphone, and he stood there in a white dinner jacket watching her do it.

How it was shot

Everything in this room is white. Tent fabric, drape, her lace, his jacket, all sitting within half a stop of clipping, and one careless exposure turns the dress into a flat shape with no stitching left in it. We ran slightly under and brought it back by hand so the neckline survives. Two bodies on the aisle mattered as much: one stayed on her face, the other on his, so the second he first sees her exists from both sides.
