The day
Daytime ceremony outdoors, set beside a pond with a fountain running behind the couple and a dry oak hillside filling the background. Two family members walked the bride down together. She carried a loose bouquet in orange, blue and white, and he wore a gold brocade jacket that caught every bit of sun. Later he took a microphone in front of the seated guests while she held a phone up for him. The reception moved indoors to a hall with a gold sequin backdrop.
How it was shot
Full sun on a dry hillside is the hard part here. The grass behind them reads a couple of stops hotter than her veil, and the water throws light straight back up under the chin. We exposed for her dress and let the hill run bright rather than crush the detail out of his jacket, then pulled the gold back by hand in the grade so it stayed fabric instead of glare. Audio came off the ceremony microphone so his voice sits above the fountain.
