Shooting in New York
New York weddings are logistics first. If you are moving guests between a Brooklyn ceremony and a Manhattan reception, the East River bridges and tunnels can eat 45 minutes on a Saturday, so we scout the route and pad the timeline rather than betting on traffic. Loft spaces and lower-Manhattan streets get tight for group portraits, so we often grab those early or duck to a nearby park. Up the Hudson, the estates give you room and fall color, but sunset comes early in October and the light drops fast once it goes.
Speed
The industry standard for wedding photos is eight to ten weeks, and for films it is often longer. We think that is far too long to wait to see the best day of your life.

We shoot the portraits on the side of the river the reception is on, so nobody is depending on a bridge at the wrong hour. If the ceremony and the party are in different boroughs we plan for the guest gap too, because your family will be moving through the same tunnel you are. Freight elevators are the other New York detail: loft venues often have one, it is slow, and it decides how fast a wedding party actually gets upstairs.
